Pull Apart Herb Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 Tbl. cold butter, cut into 8 tablespoons
  • 1 ½-2 cups shredded Italian Cheese blend
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbl. butter, melted
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ Grease an iron skillet with oil or butter.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.
  • Add the 8 tablespoon slices of butter into the flour mix and press with a fork or dough until it becomes a crumbled mixture.
  • Mix in the shredded cheese. buttermilk and garlic powder. Continue to mix until a wet dough forms.
  • Drop generous spoonfuls of dough around the skillet.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  • Remove from oven and brush the melted butter oven the baked biscuits. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
