This classic and simple homemade pesto is made with fresh basil, cheese, nuts, and fresh arugula or kale. The sharp flavor and smooth texture will make it harder using store bought!
Fun fact about myself: I LOVE pesto. Obessed with pesto like I am with Macaroni and cheese. It’s because basil is my favorite herb to work with (and eat) by far. I love the sharp bite it gives that refreshes all of your senses. It’s bold enough to bring a dish together but not enough to take all the attention on the plate.
I am so drawn to pesto that if I see it on the menu, I will automatically order it. No questions. I don’t care if it’s creamy, not creamy, made from another herb or vegetable, or the color orange.
It’s an obsession really. So I will most likely share more versions in the future. I love how easy it is to make pesto. All it takes is throwing ingredients into a blender and it’s good to go.
I really hope you enjoy this! So, try this out and don’t forget to tag me on Instagram or Facebook. I would love to see your creation!
