Pet Friendly Bacon Treats
Wanting to make a special treat for your special bud? Then your furry friend will jump head over paws for these pet friendly bacon treats!
Our dog Cooper loves treats. If either of us even mentions the words treat, peanut butter, or carrot then we will not hear the end of it!
So I began to throw ingredients together and saw bacon in our fridge. Eh, why not! He loves bacon too.
It was so fun making these for Cooper. Once I opened the new jar of peanut butter, I saw his ears perk up and I knew his attention was on me the rest of the time.
I didn’t want to bake the whole mixture so I rolled out the remaining mixture into individual servings and froze the rest for another day.
Cooper loved these so much he was whining for another one! He had evidence of his first cookie on his fur. He was jumping for joy and sat so patiently until I gave him one more. He absolutely loves them!
Pet Friendly Bacon Treats
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine all of the ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl.
- Scoop out the dough to form 1 inch balls and place an inch apart on the baking tray.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
