In the mood for a classic dish on those busy days? Then this Instant Pot Jambalaya is the ultimate comfort food you and your family will be looking forward too!

I have made this jambalaya a bunch of times both on the stove and instant pot. Depending on our schedules, my husband and I don’t have the time or energy to get dinner together every day so instant pot is a great cooking option.

Instant Pot Jambalaya

Jambalaya in our household is a specialty dish! We don’t make it often, but when we do, we always enjoy it.

I’m not sure what it is about Jambalaya that we enjoy so much. Probably everything about it. The seasonings. The low and slow cooking. The blend of proteins. All of it is so amazing and they complement each other so well. It is so rich in flavor and so filling that it can just be eaten by itself.

I have made jambalaya with different types of protein. I always put in the cajun smoked sausage. I used to add in andouille sausage but after trying it with cajun smoked sausage, I can’t go back. It tastes so delicious and gives a really great texture to the dish.

The second part of proteins can be optional. I love adding in chicken and shrimp but the options are endless. So pick the proteins you enjoy the most.

I am also used to making the rice on the side but I don’t have that problem making it in the instant pot. It blends very well together and is more convenient to have everything made together in one pot.

I really hope you enjoy this! So, try this out and don’t forget to tag me on Instagram or Facebook. I would love to see your creation!
