Preheat oven to 425℉
If using garlic bulbs, with a knife, cut a 1/4 inch off the top from the head of the garlic. It should be just enough to expose the individual cloves on the inside.
Add the garlic to a piece of foil big enough to wrap around it. Drizzle the oil over the top to cover each piece of garlic.
Lightly season with salt and pepper.
Gently rub the oil mixture over the top to coat the garlic cloves and crevices. If you are using garlic that is already peeled, you can skip this step.
Tightly seal the foil over the garlic.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until the garlic is golden brown and easily punctured with a knife. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
If using head of garlic, carefully squeeze the bottom of the bulbs to release the roasted garlic from the peel.
