This quick and easy french toast is the perfect breakfast for any time of day. Soft sliced brioche bread dipped into a creamy egg mixture and cooked in butter? Yes please!
It seems like there is no wrong time to have French toast. Is that just me? You can make it for breakfast. A Sunday brunch. Lunch. Or Breakfast for dinner. It’s probably because French toast is so easy to make, it becomes a top choice to make.
Surprisingly, I wasn’t a French toast person growing up. But not just French toast. Anything sweet. I sound crazy. Who doesn’t like eating French toast for breakfast? Dessert for breakfast at the beginning of the day!
Apparently me. I don’t eat sweet dishes for breakfast, but it’s always a treat when I do. And this French toast is oh so good! It has now become a delicacy to me. I love that it isn’t crazy sweet and how soft the texture is after biting into the crispy exterior.
Because I live in a nutshell who doesn’t eat dessert for breakfast, I didn’t realize how popular French toast is and now I understand why. Eggs and bacon are a common go to, but French toast is the maple syrup on top. It deserves to be named as the breakfast meal for any time of day!
I love using brioche bread for French toast but the most known bread for French toast is Texas toast because of how thick it is. I prefer brioche bread because of how soft it and when it gets dipped into that egg mixture, it just soaks it all in and becomes even softer. They becomes these fluffy pillows for the sweet tooth.
